Organisations face an interesting dilemma; on the one hand, operational efficiency and effectiveness demand a stable configuration of resources, capabilities and organisational routines. On the other hand, agility and effective response to environmental pressures could lead to competence destroying business model innovation. If organisations are composed of individuals, context and structures how does an effective business model innovation dynamic capability then emerge? In addition to my research interests, I am also currently employed as a Senior Manager responsible for product innovation at a large financial institution. I completed an MBA at the University of South Africa in 2011; and undergraduate and post-graduate studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I currently reside in Durban and is happily married to Megan. More detailed information about my skills and experience can be found on my LinkedIn profile. |
